As Director of Sales Planning and Operations, you will occupy a critical highly-visible leadership role reporting into the Head of Global Sales Operations. You will lead a team that’s responsible for 3 primary bodies of work:
Annual Sales Planning (internally referred to as the “Go For Growth” or “G4G”): you will map out the complex process, identify key milestones and dependencies, remediate risks, and navigate cross-functional stakeholders across Sales Leadership, Recruiting, HR, Finance, and BizTech. You will need to find a balance between following the Salesforce G4G playbook and maintaining certain Slack-specific processes that are essential for Slack’s growth and success.
Quota and Capacity Planning: you will be responsible for accurate and timely distribution of quotas to Slack’s Global Sales org as well as a smooth handoff of quotas to the Sales Commissions Team. This will hinge on your ability to deeply understand the interplay between Slack’s Headcount, Territory, and Quota models in Anaplan, and as needed, championing enhancements to these models to keep pace with Slack’s evolving business strategy. You will create a data-driven narrative to support new quotas and deliver it to all levels of Sales Leadership, fielding questions along the way and instilling confidence into the equitability and accuracy of the process.
Sales Systems and Tools: you will be the business owner of Slack’s Salesforce CRM and CPQ systems. You will lead major systems enhancements, including integration projects with Salesforce and rollouts of new processes or tools. You and your team will be responsible for documenting business requirements, partnering with BizTech to execute them, and conducting UAT to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
